    A Boring Mollusc

    Literally that. This is a shell of the Piddock, Pholas dactylus, a marine bivalve mollusc that bores into soft rocks, wood, mud etc on the lower sea-shore or in shallow water. The roughness of the shell helps with that boring.



    Thinking about it, this would make a good insult - calling someone a boring mollusc, a piddock...

      Love the details and the rough edges Now wondering how I could take pictures of shells and make them my own... so to speak.

        Theres no such thing as a boring mollusc..just needs a dash of white wine and garlic lol
