      Re: Night Visitor

We feed the Hedgehog every night with a mix of peanuts, raisins, meat biscuits and cat food every 2nd night. Definately NOT bread & milk as their stomachs can't digest bread and Cow's milk is a breeding ground for germs that can give them stomach upsets.
I sat out one night and I heard one snuffling under the shrubs but a Hedgehog appeared from the other side of the garden so we may well have 2!!

Mousey will probably eat anything thats going!!

      Heres our resident Hedgehog

I feed our hedgehog the special hedgehog mix that you can buy and add raisins, mealworms and the like. They like it and also become very friendly letting you get close to them

Nice little project you have going there Mike, you never quite know what's going to turn up next. :-)

I have a Jack Russel type terrier, unfortunatley for me, she's a major deterrant for these small creatures.

Likewise our cat brought in an animal like #1 just yesterday. She isn't that brave when it comes to the foxes and badgers though

Our Cocker Spaniel normally would as well but a firm sit & stay command and she's quite happy to watch the goings on.
Mind you theres no sit and stays when a cat come into the garden.
She's such a quick learner that she now knows whats welcome and whats not!!

                Thanks for all your comments
                Much appreciated
