Tiger longwings

Another shot from last weeks visit to the butterfly zoo. Normally i like to get a clean background to show off the subject but i think this pair of tiger longwings are complimented by the background leaves

Really lovely. probably would have liked a shallower DOF to throw out the other leaves that are further behind

should have mentioned that this was shot in manual mode at 1/200, f8 which gave a shot two stops underexposed, the main exposure being with my MR-14 ring flash, so going any wider than f 8 would probably not have made a lot of difference in this caes

I like it as it is. Well composed, and enough in focus to be able to get a view of what they're on. Nice colours and contrast.

I like the shot as it is Stan I think the depth of field is really good both butterflies are all in focus.
