Here are some shots of the male - much more difficult to shoot than the female particularly getting the eye to stand out against the black head feathers

A very nice set of images, and No 2 stands out for me. The excellent bokeh has taken away any distractions, and makes the bird stand out.

It's number 2 for me Stan but all are very, very good. Although looking again number 1 is also superb but I may have taken the BG on the right out a little more.
