Well done Stan. You have to be quick for that shot. Within a second after breaking the surface, they are swallowing their lunch.

not as good as your one of the great crested grebe !!

Unusually there was a bit of time as for a good minute or so he was shaking the life out of it, dipping it in the water and shaking again before finally swallowing it. I got quite a few shots but with shutter speeds of only 1/125, many were blurred, got a few keepers though other than this one

Great capture Stan, and as Colin says, you (usually) have to be very quick for this shot! Nice and sharp on the eye!

Weather looks like it will be good this weekend - I may try and get to Barnes WWT Saturday!
