Great "series" Stan, you certainly were in the right place at the right time with the right settings on your 7D.
Now if you had the same Kite diving for the food then a great triptych.

it is quite difficult to anticipate when they are going to dive - you have well over 100 kites circling seemingly waiting for the "senior" kite to give the OK to dive for the food - as soon as one does, then they come down in rapid succession and very difficult to lock on and keep track of them
