Barn Owl Centre Buzzard

We finally had our photo day at the Barn Owl Centre yesterday following postponement a few weeks back due to the weather.

I would usually shoot manual for this sort of venue but although the weather was good the light was constantly changing so Av was the order of the day and no problem as the birds were mostly flying against a constant background. All shot with 7D and 70-200 f 2.8 and 1.4x

Very nice set Stan.

#1 for me, for the action - talons out, flare, and you've caught the wings in the optimum position (for me, anyway!).

Well captured Stan. Autumn and early spring are the best times for the Owl Centre, as the autumn colours work so much better in the background. To me, the summer greens aren't as sympathetic to the colouring of the birds.

Is that Leighton? (Leighton Buzzard!).

I saw Dee's shot of the red squirrel today in the Dolphin Centre - looks very good printed.

I saw Dee's shot of the red squirrel today in the Dolphin Centre - looks very good printed.

Its actually mine - just checked with Dee who was there on Thursday and she said it had been incorrectly labelled with her name but she was not going to tell me !!! Hope you cast your vote in the right direction

Stan, I thought the first set were good, especially No1, but the last two shots are very very good, the first one including the sign really adds something to the shot in my opinion and the second is just Fab.

Nice ones Stan. Can't choose a favourite as they are all very nice; perhaps #1 ! The second set is even better- all of them.
