    Re: More of the Buzzard

    Thanks guys

Any barn owls from "The Barn Owl Centre" ?
barn owls and black barn owls to come but they are just posed as not flying due to there being loads of voles in the fields and if let loose they would probably not come back, so they do in fact have the jesses for control

    I love #3
its the one i like too as it could quite easily be a 100% natural shot, natural surroundings and perch rather than a post

      Re: More of the Buzzard

White balance is fine Stan, checked on my regularly calibrated Mac.

Lighter areas on the underneath feather will often reflect green of the grass below. I have seen this on my own shots, so easy to recognise on others.

Even though you have volunteered this is a captive Buzzard, number one still looks odd captured against a well manicured lawn, but 2, 3, and 4 could be a wild bird anywhere. Difficult to choose between 3 and 4, but on balance I would plumb for 3, primarily because the background is less busy. I think those two shots alone make the trip worthwhile.

thanks Colin - I can sometimes be a bit off as i only use a laptop for editing

both shots are the same bit of tree trunk but from different angles
