No Fish Eagle At THC

They weren't flying the Fish Eagle on Monday so I had to make do with a passing Duck that decided to do Fish Eagle impressions

It was a good chance to check out the speed and accuracy of focus of the 7D + 70-300 LIS combo using single shot / AI focus settings

The more I use this combo the happier I become

From all reports it's a good combo, as long as the 7D is setup correctly. I believe the Fish Eagle is in the sin bin as the last time they flew him he flew everywhere but in the meadow!

#1 is a cracking shot. Great detail in the feathers and just a hint of blur on the wing tips.
Looks like you have got the combination working well.
