    Brownsea Island Lagoon

I was sitting in one of the hides overlooking the lagoon on Monday and there being very few birds in close, though I might try a pano of the lagoon, so swapped the long lens for my EF 40 f 2.8 and, hand held shot 24 images in portrait mode. Being a dull day the resulting image is not really very vibrant but it was a good exercise to see how well photomerge in CS3 performed. Anticipating it may take a while, I set it off on my small laptop used for travelling and went to play on the main computer.......two hours later it finished and the resulting PSD file was 1.2 gigabytes.

Anyway heres the small version just uploaded from the computer as its not a shot worth adding to flickr

Nice stitching, but the horizon seems to be tilting from left to right.

          Thanks for looking

as I said it was more an exercise in panning and stitching a lot of images and the low point of view, whilst very good for wildlife, does not do this scene justice - as Colin will know the harbour beyond is beautiful and if there were a higher viewpoint and good light the resultant image would be much better
