    Burgh Island

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days on Burgh Island, this is the view from the hotel restaurant balcony across to the mainland, and covers pretty well 180 degrees.
For those that don't know, the strip of sand is covered at high tide, so access to the island and its hotel (and pub) is only possible on the 'sea tractor', which is the blue vehicle bottom left.

Nice panorama Alex , can't even see the joins

I have walked across to the island a few times over the years.

    Nice part of the country.

Thanks for stopping by, Dave. The countryside was great but the lighting was pretty darn flat, so I struggled to get any interest in the image beyond the variation in sand to sea.

        Re: Burgh Island

Sorry but that just doesn't work for me. Being local I've spent hours on that beach and the ones either side of it at Challaborough and Bantham and that perspective just doesn't really look right.
Technically the crop is good though. Hope you had a pleasant stay!

Thanks Wayne, comments still appreciated. I suspect it would have been better to have been lined up level with the centre of the sand, but as you know the hotel is at one end of the island.
Oh, and the stay was very pleasant. How the other half once lived...
