    Whittenham Clumps

This is a single image pano, using the pano mode on the EOS R8, hand held, press the shutter and pan round. Using the RF 100-400mm F5.6 - F8 STM. This is the maximum width I could do! Not bad for a first time using this mode on the camera.

A good panorama, it’s worked well, not something I’ve tried yet

Flippin eck! That's amazing. Didn't know R series cameras could do that.

That is good….it looks natural all the way along and not distorted as some I’ve seen.

Looks to have worked pretty well.

Is it fairly straightforward to use? I've tried the panning mode on my Panny G80 and while the results looked quite good I found the panning mode a bit frustrating to setup and use.

I found it easy to use, selected SCN on the mode dial and the pano option. Then selected the direction of movement, left or right using the touch screen. Then pressed and held down the button and panned across the landscape, the camera did everything. Once I finished release the button and waited. I was very small on the display.

I like using a longer lens on my panos as it reduces the distortion at the extremes. I will also try with a tripod to see if that helps, but the IS did a good job with this one.
