Thanks Tom,Stephen for taking a peek & for your comments. Yes, Stephen I am quite pleased with this lens, the predecessor to the Sigma 12-24mm
Contrary to all the reviews, it is quite a light lens (IMHO) and very well built.

Nice shots Nat, and a good record for the local paper perhaps?

There was a similar event in Epsom, where the local churches were staging a drama of the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, actually in the high street! Made me laugh, as the timetable stated 'Jesus will be crucified outside Weatherspoons Pub at 10:45"! Now, there's a sentence I didn't think I'd see in the local paper!

Unfortunately I missed the event, as I'd already committed to helping at an Easter children's craft workshop at my church.

Have a good one, thanks for posting. Mike.

good crisp clear images Nat ,looks like the lens will be good for landscapes and a walkabout lens.

Thanks Mike and Alan for taking a look. Quite interesting Mike and my pics have been sent to the local press and to the Cathedral office. Alan, the lens looks good so far. However I intend using it for landscapes, buildings and interior of buildings. As a general walk about lens I prefer my old faithful- the 24-105mm.

I did have my doubts when I sold the Canon 17-35mm f2.8L lens to fund this lens (with some loose chanage left) but I find the sharp, crisp images very nice- something I never obtained with the former lens. I am also getting more impressed with the Sigma lenses having previously owned the 10-20mm as well which also produced very sharp images.
