    Churchill and Monty

Dee and I went to the War on the Line day at the Watercress Line yesterday, very enjoyable but proved a great challenge as far as photography was concerned, with very harsh light and extremes of shadows and highlights and even using fill flash, in most instances did little to help.

Here are a couple of Churchill and Monty, mine and then Dee's, both shot with 17-85,

Very well done Stan and Dee.

Mrs C and I went today, but no Churchill and Monty. Weather quite dull until around 2:30pm. Just got back so I'll have a look through some shots to post.

I needed flash in the morning to 'Lift' the shot and flash in the afternoon to fill the shadows. All in all, a very flashy day.

Like them both, that Churchill looks a character.

First is good Stan, but I agree, it's a nightmare in harsh light at these events.
