    First mini shoot with Pauleen

Today we set about doing my first proper trial shoot. After some laughs we got some good pics I think.

Last one was the first picture I took, and the first one was the last in the set of about 20 I took. Just to confuse things lol

    Cheers for looking :)

        Thanks Bill :)
Portraiture is a totally different genre to me. Give me wildlife and nature all day, but I didn't even know where to start with this one.
I wasn't very consistent with the edits either as you can see.

Paul, well if this is your first go you are off to a cracking start. Quite a lot of different styles/processing there (hope you remember what you did for each ), my fave would be no 2, which for me has the best depth of colour and the most natural smile.
I think you can see her relax from first to last (or last to first, you know what I mean), hope she continues to indulge you because you are clearly in for some wonderful portraits as you get even better. I avoid portraits like the plague as I'm hopeless at engaging with a subject; it's that darned British reserve.

Re: First mini shoot with Pauleen

                Cheers folks :)

The second one is her favourite too. I set out the pics in LR and told her to quick select the ones she liked.
She chose number two first lol

I held the golden side of a reflector below her and bounced the light off it and it caught her eyes the way I wanted it too.

She's been watching Peter Hurley vids on Youtube so kinda had an idea at what she wanted to do.

Incidentally she bought a point and shoot yesterday and has been taking some nice pics :) Now wants a Canon SL1 (what have I started lol )

Nice ones Paul, I like the B&W best as she looks completely at ease.

                  Regards Paul
