    Race for Life - Worthing. Sunday 14 July

    Hi all!

    I attended my old cycling club's Kingston to Worthing time trial today, and after breakfast in Worthing I returned to my car only to find it stuck as the road had been closed! This was due to there being a Race for Life event in Worthing today, in aid of Cancer Research. All for a very good cause, and as I found I had a spare hour (!), I thought I'd get the camera back out the bag.

    This isn't my usual genre of photography, but here's my favourite 5!

    All taken with my 7D.

    It was a really friendly and positive atmosphere, and I had some good interaction with some of the crowd...

                  If I had known of this in advance, I probably would have opted not to go, as mingling and shooting amongst that many people is something I find a daunting prospect. But on the day, it was actually quite fun, with a very positive atmosphere, and I had no bad reactions from anyone. Of course, I was mindful that most all the 'competitors' were doing it as someone they knew had either fought cancer and won, was still fighting, or had lost their fight. You just have judge who's up for a shot, and who's best to leave alone. A worthy cause indeed... I'd consider doing another, definitely.
