          I like this Di, the lines of the rail and the horizon work really well for me, just my personal thoughts though so feel free to ignore but I don't like the brick laid square in the foreground, I think it detracts from the image rather than adding something, I would have cropped that out completely.

          But, as said, just my personal feelings.

            It was only when looking at it after reading this that I realised that it does tend to stick out a little bit. (amazing what you don't see till someone points it out to you.) Its a different type of brick pattern and as a shine which caught the sun differently than the normal paving.

            Recropped.

                Di, that second (cropped) shot is a stunner. Really crisp silhouette. Did you have to do much processing to 'blacken the blacks' or was it broadly how it came out?

                          Alex - Just sharpening and a touch of cloning (items in the sea.) Some how I managed to capture a natural silhouette.
