    Changing the Guard

    In Horseguards, London.

Liked the line up and postures, although the black horses and shiny or white stuff made exposure a bit of a challenge -

    7D + 24-105L on a dull day.

    Cheers, Chris.

Nice Chris - as you have hinted the lower third might need a bit of lightening to see the horses properly. Cracking line up though.

The horses on the right hand side are crying out for a caption.

Good shot Chris but as said the horses are a bit in shadow - try and pull some more detail using the shadow/highlight tool

Great image, love the symmetry and pattern. As you say if you can lighten the horses it will be even better.

                      Re: Changing the Guard

Thanks for the comments. Yes, bringing out detail in the lower half would help, but I haven't got - to my shame and I must do something about it - the skill to use something like PS to do that. Usually shoot JPEG rather than RAW, but should I invest the time in going RAW and becoming PS literate (or whatever the phrase would be)?

And, yes, Di, I wonder what the two horses were saying to each other.....

                      Cheers, Chris.

A resounding yes to this, you won't regret it if you do.

Like the image, the symmetry is very pleasing, but I wish you hadn't cut the horses head off on the right.
