I took this at a recent friends wedding and thought it was crying out for a B&W conversion so I had a go today with Silver Efex Pro.

B&W works so much better, and helps tremendously to hide that messy background on the left hand side

Lee, that's a really strong image in what seem like difficult conditions. The mono treatment both suits it stylistically and disguises the potentially distracting background.

Photo editor for The Guardian said "People don't want B&W portrait images anymore, we live in colour" I can't agree with that statement at all when you see images like this :)
