What made me take this image?

This is from the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich, where we visited in August with friends from Australia.
Taken with my Canon Ixus, Exif ISO 500, 17.4mm 1/160 sec.

So what do you think made me make the image?

Other than the obvious male chauvinist comment that first came to mind about her posterior my eyes were actually drawn to what looks like her reflection in the top right of the glass but I assume actually is part of the museum piece with a very studious look.

Either that or you liked the colour of her hair / jeans and want to get down B&Q to get some paint mixed up for your bedroom. :)

I think "figureheads" covers it off rather nicely. But lots of good reasons beyond that!

The title on the sign "Figureheads" as there are 3 heads in a almost perfect slop, with her head being the middle head.

She's quite a conundrum. Is it because you don't expect someone with individual style and pink hair to be as engrossed with history as what she appears.

Judging a book by its cover would lead you to expect to see her in front of a fashion display wouldn't it and if that had been the case, would you have taken the shot?

Nice candid picture. Nicely composed, well rounded image. You took a risk posting this one. You could be the butt of all sorts of jokes.....

                Nice ass.

Oh and obviously coupled with her body/arms it mirrors the trapezoidal shape of the illustration. The matching hair jeans helps too.
I think it would work brilliantly if you grey scaled the background and left her in colour, a subtle colour pop. Just the pink would be too much imho.

It's obvious - apart from the beautiful behind - someone has etched '2013©peter stockton' on the floor, pretty spooky really

Well those responses had me ROFL

This is actually why I took the image, the lady concerned caught my eye as I was taking this one. Then I started to wonder about her hair colour; in particular was it coloured like that to match other parts of her clothing and then what happens when the lady concerned changes her jeans.

Then SWMBO told me to keep up and stop wandering off !

As it's new Year already for our friends from Australia

                    Happy New Year everyone .

Well spotted Tom, would you mind if I use that as the reason I made the image

Sadly not Andy, in fact I got three very STERN looks

The first two are easy to spot, the third may need thinking about
