    The Bookstore

Before picking up the grandchildren, our normal routine is to go to the bookstore, browse book and magazines while having a cup of tea. While there today I took these two images.

    Camera: EOS-M w/EF-M 18-55mm Lens
    ISO 400

    Gentleman Reading

    1/25 sec @ f/5.6 (55mm)

    Wife Reading

    1/25 sec @ f/4 (20mm)

    Re: The Bookstore

Good images, and two different styles/results.
To me the first looks very relaxed, the second looks like an advertising/PR type shot.
Don't take me wrong, that's not a criticism I was just struggling to find the right words for the difference between the two!

Two good mono images as normal Tom, I think I would personally have toned down the part of the person with their back to you on the left edge of #1

Thanks Cyberman & Ian. Funny thing Ian is that I even burned that edge to tone her down. Might have to clone her out

Like them both Tom but first would be better without the person on the edge. The lady in the second looks familiar, do you follow her around as she seems to pop up in a lot of your shots

I never realised how much a picture changes when you remove "distractions" like that until I started reading this forum.

A couple of nice pics here my fave being the gentleman reading.
