    The surveyor

It didn't matter how much they were measured, or how often, they were always different sizes...

Phone Boxes by RCARCARCA, on Flickr

    EXIF: 5Diii, 24-70 2.8L @ 47mm, ISO 500, 1/80 sec at f2.8

    Thanks for looking

    Richard

PS: I have no idea what they were measuring - probably something to do with Crossrail: there is a new station at Farringdon just nearby.

I arrived ten minutes early for a lunch appointment - more a function of the train timetable than my "free" time!!!

Really punchy image, for the distance between the measuring instruments they could have used a tape

I like that, the symmetry gives a good pattern.
Did you think about changing the white behind the measuring rod to purple to match the other area and make the rod stand out? Might not work I guess.

Andy - you overestimate my abilities in PP! Besides which it was one of the few signs of sun recently!!!

Thanks Garry - in fact I spotted the telephone boxes and started to take some photographs when he pitched up. At first I was hacked off, and then I decided it was a better story, so kept at it!

Thanks also MX and Wayne - I was greatly taken by the colours in Smithfields, especially since it is still a working meat market!
