    The Guitar Maker

I wanted the shot slow enough to keep some movement in the hand - think I got there

agree but I think I would have liked a faster shutter speed to compare

the guy really wasn't that impressed with me poking my camera at him - I set the camera up first then walking into workshop, just about got away with one...Another shot would have cost me the price of a guitar :)

It's perhaps a little too blurred but shows him in action. Well framed. He needs to tidy his bench hey

                  Re: The Guitar Maker

I do like it, I like the concept of the blurred hand at work, and I think you've achieved it really well. Just a thought though whether it might work better in colour? Somehow, if he had been an old guy, mono might suit the image but I'm imagining the guitars are all a beautiful rich colour, it seems a shame to not take advantage of that. Unless it clutters the image too much of course, which is why you may have gone down the mono route.

                    thanks Alex ..

for me street feels right in B&W ..The guitars were all the same shade of light tan, no nice reds, had that been the case it would have been colour as I agree with you Alex ...but least i got one convert on this

                      Re: The Guitar Maker

Works well as it is.....there is enough material there for a project; if you offer to do a series for him he might give you a guitar! Have you considered a colour tone...possibly a light brown in sympathy with all that wood?
