          Thanks for looking Paul

shows I don't only shoot the feathered kind although with over 50 views and only a couple of comments, I guess there must be something very wrong with the shot

looked at this a few times and the model just looking at the bike isn't working, especially with a grey background - maybe if you replaced the background with a road scene it would be better - but I think shes pretty uninteresting

this photo would have been a lot better with a REAL bird on a bike :)

                  Cheers guys

personally i found the show tedious and boring this year
first time I have been and really enjoyed it, much better than Focus and although less crowded, it was much easier to move around- spent far too much money though

looked at this a few times and the model just looking at the bike isn't working, especially with a grey background - maybe if you replaced the background with a road scene it would be better - but I think shes pretty uninteresting
its a studio type shot rather than on the open road and the bike is a prop - I thought it worked well as her pose and expression shows "attitude" - maybe I am wrong

                      Re: Bird on a Bike

Stan, I think it is well lit, particularly given all of the other lights, people etc. I think her expression and her focus is fine and gives off the vibe you were going for. If I had a quibble about the pose it would be her left arm looking like it is in her pocket makes her seem somewhat disinterested and clearly not just about to 'take off'.

Perhaps not the type of birds you are used to!!!

You can only shoot what's in front of you and the picture is very well done, Stan.

I have to say that the models I saw on Saturday looked very serious. Frowning seemed to be the order of the day. The Cosplayers next door were much more lively.

I think that is just the point Andy, models don't tend to do the "smile for the camera" thing - if you want that then as you say shoot the Comicon
