Any advice on photographing a 2 week old baby?

A friend has asked me to photograph her first granddaughter on Wednesday. Any hints and tips would be most welcome. I have asked her to copy a few images off the internet to give me an idea of the type of photos they would like. Thanks.

There are lots of images on Pinterest.
I used a remote flash bounced off the ceiling while my daughter held my granddaughter which worked well with a black background and my daughter wearing a black tee shirt...just one idea that worked for me.

Thanks. I have a length of black fabric. I must practise using the flash remotely. Thought I'd take along a reflector too.
Your photo in the link is lovely. Did you underexpose to make the black really black?
