Have often wondered why the Celts from Scotland,Wales to Cornwall (not forgetting Patagonia in S.America) don't have one common language?

There are (according to my linguist friend) a lot of 'common origin traits' in the languages from those areas (and Brittany ... Little Britain) ... Patagonia was just (Welsh) people moving there for work in recent, 18xx, times I think.
