    I like it. What distance did you take it from? (crop etc)

      It was pretty close, you could stand by the stage, looking at the original file size, it's about a 25 % crop.

        That's a very powerful shot Les and one to be proud of.

        Whilst I acknowledge that there is a solid argument for keeping the shot "as is", I would keep the background black. The spotlight is too much of a distraction for me.
