This is one of the shots from my "studio" shoot on Saturday for which i asked some advice a couple of weeks back. I have a lot more to process but I think this is about the best so far

Lovely shot Stan. The eyes are awesome.
I am so glad you post images like this using the 17-85 as each time I get the urge to "acquire" the 24-105 and put my 17-85 into "storage" you post a cracker using the 17-85 and the urge diminishes.

I used my 70-200 f2.8 for more formal head and shoulders shots but found for the more informal i could not get back far enough without going outside and shooting through the window so i changed to the 17-85 and its done a good job

          A very nice portrait,

There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

                  Thanks for looking Muscat
They were very pleased and have just chosen 3 shots to be printed - none of these 3 though which surprises me as I think the first one is the best of the whole shoot
