    Some of mine (1)

Well I've been busy for a wee while. Just thought I'd post a few images over a few threads to show what I've been up to!

I wanted to try some "Lifestyle" shots to practice and got an engagement to shoot (my mates son). He likens them to William & Katie although maybe not quite :)

    Any comments/critique always welcome.

Some nice shots here Jim, but I don't know, they lack something I can't put my finger on.

After looking at your studio stuff, which i like by the way, maybe it's the lighting, or you maybe too far away or missed the focus? Maybe its the compression for jpeg? As I say I can't put my finger on it.

Perhaps someone else will see what I mean and chip in.

In the meantime here is a guy I like, Joe Elario. Might give you some ideas.

THanks Owin. When I look at these I see what you mean. They are all fairly sharp and I think it's the jpeg compressionwhere the problem lies:) Also I'n obviously much further away from the subjects than in my studio stuiff. But this was pretty much the first time trying this type of photography. Practice will help :)

Hi Brian - Not sure what you mean by ok for an A4? I printed a 16x12 book and the double spread 24x16 image looked great! Couple were delighted. As I say probably just the jpg compression I use. I keep the images fairly low quality on the web for a reason.

        Cheers
        Jim
