No sure I'm keen on the space in the top right of the picture, maybe crop a little bit closer if possible.
But still a superb portrait crystal clear, with good lighting, your getting very good at this Brian I'm impressed.

Nice one Brian although the skin tone looks a little too pink on my screen - not a big problem though

a nice informal portrait with spot on exposure, colour and sharpness on my screen. I think I may have wanted to move those few stray hairs over her right eye, it would only have taken a second and, for me, would have made an improvement. I like your lighting and you have her eyes nice and bright .

I like all your portraits Brian. Very simple and not the "glamour" types, which are so very common- if you look at today's tabloids.

I'm definately going to have to bribe the family into posing.. hopefully, I'll come close to this.

Thank you all for the kind remarks - I am learning how to use multiple flash - I am up to 5 speedlights now. Great fun

very nice Brian, as Paul suggested the image may be even better with the whispy hair at the top of the image cropped out, I know it makes the image a non-standard size but I think it helps by bringing the eyes nearer the 1/3 and smooths out the whole picture.

Having said that I still like it

Muscat - I cropped it like this to get the face on the diagonal (as my lecturer had told me). This crop gets it on the diagonal and the eyes on the vertical 1/3 lines.

                    Just too many choices

Brian, I like your UNGLAMOUR photos of yours. I am sick and tired of the "mouth open" type shots you see everyday esp in the Tabloids. A girl/lady can look beautiful without all that. Perhaps shows my "senior status"!!!!!!! Your photos gets 150% from me. It gives me great pleasure to see your photos compared to the rubbish I see in the Tablolids- very refreshing to say the least.
