Suffragettes

The East Lancs Railway held it's first Edwardian event today, not many re-enactors about, due to a date class with another similar event.

I did at least get a couple of shots.

I took the liberty of changing this to black and white on my computer and I think it looks more authentic of the era.

That looks a lot of fun Mark, but I would also make it Black & White.

Everyone always says make them sepia or B&W, but I like my shots to look like they would have when taken in the period and not after a 100 years of fading.


Colour photography is 150 this year and an Edwardian period photo would have looked like this taken in Russian in 1909 by Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii
