That’s different Alan, it’s good to experiment but this one doesn’t appeal to me

Definitely different but somehow it's not quite coming off...

Have you tried it with the eyes in full colour as well as the lips - or maybe with just the eyes only? Could also be worth desaturating the lip colour slightly to make the effect a little more subtle...

The image was produced at the request of the model who had seen this style in an exhibition. The result pleases her so has achieved it's objective. Popping the eyes doesn't work, I tried it.

Not something I would have thought of doing, I could however see an image like this working as an illustration for a product of some sort.
I do like to be able to achieve different artistic effects using photoshop when I have the time but as yet do not have the latest version -- I saw some of the new ideas from Adobe in their workshops recently and do agree that what can be done is amazing.

The problem I have is that I get asked to do loads of Photoshop edits and effects that models have seen on the internet and in magazines. They know that I can do all sorts of crazy stuff in Photoshop and expect me to turn out the results. This edit took under 5 mins to do. I don't like it, personally, but if it pleases the model, it's fine.
