STOP! (Slow Shutter Zooming - Part 2)

I've just posted some images shot this evening of the fair on Torquay Sea Front. With so many bright lights in seemed the ideal opportunity to have another attempt at slow-shutter zooming. This 1 second exposure was the best of the bunch and I took note of the comments from the Kozfest series that rightly stated a recognisable point is needed even in something so abstract:

Not to everyone's taste maybe but you can't argue it's not colourful

    Cheers,
    John

Interesting stuff, I don't think it works quite as well though with the Stop sign not being at the Centre of the Movement.

That's a really interesting as well as colourful image.

My eye was drawn into the centre of the picture by all the converging bright lights giving a sense of rushing speed.
My eye then took in the rest of the picture and saw the stop sign.
Isn't that a picture of life sometimes we're so locked into the rush of it that we don't take the time to stop and take in what's around us.

            Great image with a message.

Thanks folks, I'm glad you like them - so here's a couple more

This one is from the same 'stop sign' side of the road where the top part are the strings of 'fairy lights' along the sea front with the fair below:

This one, which reminds me of night shots of Hong Kong, is of the fair from the headland and it's possible to make out the individual rides (well, maybe after referring to the non-zoomed image ):

still prefer the first John as said you need a recognisable point and the other too are a tad too abstract for me ....although TBH I'm not a great abstract fan

John, nicely done again. The first for me for the reasons stated, but the third works too as it is almost recognisable as a fun fair and has nicely balanced colour across the scene.

I really like the first one. It's like a particle physics experiment!

The first for me as there's a recognisable point.

But it's not quite there somehow- the stop sign isn't quite in the right place and the blue light seems to overburden the image.

It's exciting stuff though and well worthy persevering with IMHO
