Ice needles on the car this morning

'Twas a bit frosty this morning and I noticed these nice patterns on the car bonnet - lots of little upstanding ice needles.

Great photo, it would make a good entry for the monthly comp (close up).

That's excellent John. It has so much depth and could be a (blue) forest from the air or even animal fur (do Smurfs have fur?). It also takes me back to the days of single glazing and waking up to find ice on the inside of the bedroom windows (which I always took to be natures message to go back to bed).
