    Tis the season...

    ... to be shooting ICM!

I like Intentional Camera Movement (although from some of the comments I read not everyone does ) and the plethora of Christmas lights currently springing up everywhere gives plenty of scope and opportunities.

These are of the lights around Torquay Harbour shot from home 1.5 miles away. Both handheld, one second exposure and zoomed from 100 to 400 on a 7D.

This one the camera tipped upwards during the zoom:

Here the camera stayed fairly level:

Very nice John, very artistic. Must admit it’s not my thing, but everyone to their own. It would not do for all of us to be the same.

Christmas lights are an excellent source for abstract photography, these are very attractive John. Well done. My preference is for the first one.

Awesome! I love ICM I think it's a great technique. Both are great, but it's the second one for me, I prefer the zoom in and out effect created by it. Draws you into the image

          GREAT WORK

They both work for me. I think I like the first one a little more as the camera tilt has added an extra dimension.

Good stuff John - and all from your own garden I assume.

First for me as well I think.
