    Splahing around

A couple of shots taken last week.

5D3, fish tank with bottled still water, nifty fifty, 3 speedlights set in manual mode with power between 1/8th and 1/16th, ISO100, 1/125, f16, towel and sheets of polythene. All taken whist SWMBO was out

Thanks for sharing. I really like these. Love the reflections on the edge of the cucumber and tomato in #1. I like the kind of symmetry in #2 and the 'frozen in time' water droplets. I enjoyed the ones you did previously aswell, really inspires me to try harder.

      Love em!

I presume you throw the food in and this is the bounce?

      Why bottled still water though?

Is the fish tank filled to the very brim?

      What size is the tank?

You've probably already guessed I want to play with this.

LOL it is great how you can invert an image

            Why bottled still water though?

I have fond that if I use tap water I get a lot of bubles forming but when I use the cheapest bottled water (Ł1.10 / 5ltr from the main supermarkets I get very few bubble forming on the glass sides of the tank

Is the fish tank filled to the very brim?

No the fish tank is filled about 2/3 full

            What size is the tank?

The tank I use cost me Ł12 and is a glass tank rather than the polycarbonate types available, it measures 12" x 12" x 18", yes a largeone would be nice but I can mange quite well with this one.

You've probably already guessed I want to play with this.

Have fun, The idea of using the flashes at a low power rating is as I am sure you have realised to keep the flash duration to something in the region of 1/2000 or faster so that the water is frozen

Great shots, not really tried anything like this just yet. Your images are "wetting my appetite" so to speak.
