    Awful shot.

For so many technical reasons, this photo shouldn't be posted here. I was experimenting and the colour combinations used are terrible, I was far too close to see the whole thing and it is effectively straight out of the camera, without a mild clean up in photoshop. But to me, all of that pales into insignificance into what is on show here and something I didn't really consider I could ever achieve.

This is a water drop splash inside a bubble.

Much more experimenting to do, not least getting a new supply of bubbles, but now I have the experience and confidence to experiment further. Just wanted to share it with you.

Colin, for me that is a beautiful image. I would have been pleased to have taken this shot.

Well it might be wrong for you but it is a far sight better than I could achieve..... is there no end to your talent with these water drops ???

I expect a perfect shot in about 48hrs judging by previous shots, this is the start of something great

apart from the colour combo . From my experience so far there seems to be no end to the different types of shot you can achieve, many with just a bit of luck which if you tried to do it again on the next shot without changing any settings, would be completely different

I'm very impressed with this series of splish splosh images

This one is truly awful Colin, especially the wonky horizon ; now sort yourself out and show us some really, really awsome images. BTW were the colours created by gels on the speedlights?

                  Yes Peter.

Orange onto the background and blue overhead down onto the catch tank. Yellow and blue would have been more acceptable, being opposite colours on the colour wheel, but my yellow gels are so weak they hardly cast any colour.

I really like this shot and the colours too.

What's next a splash onto a dry ice bubble ?
