    Two and then One

I have not put this in Nature as clearly it is a manipulated image.

I got this shot at Slimbridge with two long tailed tits on the same branch

This would have been a very nice shot with the branch providing the frame, had both birds been looking my way. I got 4 frames and they were all the same, so as an exercise, using content aware fill, followed by cloning to tidy up, I removed the offending bird

Nicely done Stan but might I suggest moving the tail down as it looks if it is from its back, although I assume it's the other birds tail

well spotted Alan. I had thought it was the birds tail so I left it but you are right - the other tail seems to be in a very strange position, bending back on itself. Will have to have another look and see if just moving the tail looks "natural"

I think the visible tail was from the cloned out bird. The other must have been stuck out behind where it's hidden. The end result is good though, and had I not seen the first image I wouldn't have picked it up.
