    I was going to enter this in the competition as "A fish out of..." but got the dates wrong! A tenuous link anyway.

    Nicely processed, Wayne, and I can see what you wanted, but it doesn't quite work for me, sorry. I think the problem is that the viewer is looking up at such a steep angle that the fish motif isn't obvious enough. I reckon the top of the sign needed to be level for best effect, but this presumably needed a good arm stretch (or a step ladder).

      Because most of the image is BW you eye is drawn directly to the color in the sign, then your eye moves to the white band which leads you away from the sign itself.

        Cheers Guys,

        I just liked the sign. Given where it is under a dual carriageway on an overcast day apart from the sign there wasn't much colour anyway. I'm not sure whether it's some sort of stained glass or enamel. FYI if it isn't obvious the entire sign is popped not just the glass. And yes, it was quite away above my head. If I post another image you will see all the graffiti and understand why.
