Unlikely to find one of these in a Travelodge

Spent Friday night in London and this was the staircase in the hotel. Difficult to do it justice so my initial play is this stitch of 3 or 4 images. It's heavily distorted but I quite like it.

    Impressive Staircase

        Cheers Guys,

St Pancras Renaissance. It was originally called the Grand Midland or something like that and was totally run down as in derelict. luckily someone with pots of cash did it up. It's the left hand bit of St Pancras Station. The shots were done quickly, all handheld. Would love to have had an hour or 3, tripod and 17mm TSE.

I suspected that it was that hotel, thanks for the confirmation Wayne

What a wonderful image, Wayne; Ian is absolutely right that the distortion really adds to the slightly surreal wackiness of it all.

I agree with the others, rather like that. Very fairytale look to it

Cheers Guys. When I get some time I will revisit this one and the others and try and tidy it up a bit.

I also think the distortions adds to it. Maybe on the way up to bed, that's what it actually looked like!!

While I'm sure that it would look great without the distortion the result here is on another level. There's a a hint of Dali-esque surrealism with a touch of Escher that blends into a truly cohesive whole.

                        Top shot that man!

That's a fabulous photograph of a fabulous staircase in a fabulous building and all the distortions are fabulously groovy

                          Cheers,

I'm with Ian, that processing suits the image well.
