        Re: Bonfire night

These are fine, Emyr but if your vantage point had been a bit lower you'd have got a bit more sky, rather than town lights, in the shot.

The other thing that surprised me was that you went for landscape mode instead of portrait. Nºs 1 &2 in particular might have benefitted from a more vertical approach

You might get a bit more oomph from your pictures by playing with the colour balance in post-processing. Put on tungsten and/or tweak the blues and reds for a bit more impact.

I am of course no expert and I guess practice - should we get the opportunity- makes perfect.

We don't do Guy Fawkes here!
Canon EOS R5, R6 plus the usual suspects ......

          Bonfire night

They’re taken from balcony so I can't get any lower, although I might try going to the bottom of the garden this year. With a bit of luck the tide will be in.
I was also doing a video of the display so rather than rotating the camera all the time I shot everything in landscape. The video is pretty boring so I probably won’t do it again. Just experimenting.
I’ll try a bit more post-processing next time.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
