    Stormy weekend in February

My attempts to capture the weather...staying dry was futile...snowflakes so big one covered the entire front element of my 100-400...comments welcome....especially regarding the blue cast added to one of the motorway shots and the tree motion shot....

A great set Brian. I think the blue cast in the second shot help to portray the bleakness of the day. The forth, I think you've captured that well -- it reminds me of the scene outside our living room window on Friday morning

Love the fourth shot and the blue does add something, but that shot in particular I like how the street lights lead you into the shot, just the right angle, any further to the right and that would have been lost.

All very good, Brian, something exceptional about each, but I do keep getting drawn back to the fourth, Really love the stillness of some branches holding against the windswept top.
The blue cast works on the second, but then the composition is so absolutely perfect that I'm not sure it wouldn't look just as good without it.

Gee...thanks for the feedback.....that's made my day.
I tried several times to get the movement in the trees using really slow shutter speeds, it only occurred after that maybe I should have switched the IS off!

A very good set Brian, the third and fourth are my favourites with the fourth just pipping it. It shows well the amount the trees were moving about, the exposure was not that long!

Very, very good and the fourth is perhaps the stand out shot. No way did I have the nerve to face the kind of weather we just had so kudos to you...
