    Control

I took this picture during a photo session at a clients house after installing the home cinema system for them. It will be used on our new company web site. WDYT, I'm pleased with how it came out.

        Re: Control

I have been looking at this for sometime. Nice colour, nice reflections etc.

The only thing that catches my eye is that there is lack of symmetry when perhaps it is expected.

I think I might have been inclined to make the edges of the tv on the 1/3 vertical line with a gap between the TV and the control(?) being the same as the speaker and the TV. The candle in the middle I think

Just minor details on what is otherwise a pleasing image

            Re: Control

I quite the simplicity and quality of the image, if i'm not mistaken the screen is a Pioneer plasma, I thought they were the best, but didn't they stop producing these about 5 years ago.

Hi Ray, You are correct about the screen. They stopped producing screens about two years ago but the client was wise and decided to keep his beloved Pioneer screen. We installed a new AV amp, speakers etc, and a single remote control solution. Well spotted, top marks to you!

Really nicely done Ian, can you just humour me and put a darker gradient from left to right to really make the remote 'pop' as my eye keeps getting drawn to the bright speaker (just an idea - stop shouting at me)

                    David,
Made the adjustments as you suggested. WDYT?

                      Re: Control

Ian - now that's a tricky one, the controller def 'pops' more but at the cost of losing the detail on the screen. Torn between the two now

                        Re: Control

I personally prefer the brighter first image, but would it be improved if you were to tone down the bright vertical on the beige surround to what I am assuming is a speaker. I find that the more I look at the image the more my eye is drawn to that bright highlight.

                          Re: Control

Thanks for all your observations, I have had a final go with the image using CS5. I Darkened the speaker on the left without darkening the TV. Comparing with the original I agree that with the speaker being of equal brightness to the remote distracts the eye. This version will go on the site.

Great shot, but the second version is much better.
