I also keep thinking black and white, but then think to myself - "but I like the greenery." WDYT?

For me I prefer it at an angle but would want all of the base and personally I would want it without the borders as I don't feel they don't help these images.

Straight on for me and I think I'd prefer black and white so you concentrate on the texture and tones in the statue. The colour pulls me away from the subject. I also agree about the frames. I'm not sure if its just me but I much prefer no borders when viewing on a screen.

I'd love to see this in b&w, maybe even with a bit of split toning with a hint of blue.

            Many thanks for the feedback.

Will go back to the original files and do some re-processing see what I can come up with.

              As promised. Reworked shots.

I did try split toning. (A script from GNU) Followed the instructions, not sure its done what it should do, but there is a very mellow effect.

              What do you think?

Also - After seeing Rajjayaraj's copyright mark I had to give it a go at designing one. If it hadn't been for Rajjayaraj would never have thought of it. So Rajjayaraj - thanks for that.
