    The Hot House Four

The Hot House Four are a local family group specialising in early American roots/folk/blues/jazz etc. They had a gig at a friends coffee shop yesterday afternoon and packed the place so photography was difficult. Here's a 'still life' of their instruments

Incidentally some of the framed photos on the rear wall may look familiar

    Cheers,
    John

PS I made the cake trolley on the left

Nice composition John, you have coped with the lighting well and produced a nice warm/rich tone to it. The three lights reflecting in the middle picture are a slight distraction but not sure what you could do about them.

      Thanks Andrew

Yes, that reflection was annoying so I've cloned them out.

Is the pic top right one of yours John? Looks a lot like your recent night shots

            Thanks folks

Yes, all pictures are mine and the top-right one is one I took last year. My friend Phil, whose shop it is, is familiar with my work (I've covered his band in the past and we've been to festivals together) so he invited me to display some pictures and make them available for sale. So far I've had lots of compliments and praise yet no sales but I remain to be convinced that customers of coffee shops (or dentists, doctors, etc.) are going to make an impulse purchase on something such as this. Not really a problem though and they cover a blank wall

            Cheers,
            John
