    Went to the MotoX today

Had a day practising - was great fun - this was a panning exercise

Sun was shining - this is pretty much the colour it came out of the camera (I had to reduce exposure by 1 stop)

I know that these are as they came out of the camera but if I was to do anything further with them I would clone out the twigs in front of the riders head in the jump shot. I like this but feel that it looks as if he is about to crash into the twigs which is a shame.

      Where was the event?

#2 Is spot on,perfectly in the frame and shutter slow enough to get some movement in the wheels.

I took nearly 3000 pictures in all. This was strictly a session for practising technique - no idea was was happening in the races

The interesting one was panning. Because there was so much movement then it made a big difference where I panned on. This is one that I got by panning on the head, others I used the number - and the whole body was out of focus. It certainly gives a dramatic effect

I was also trying to get it so that it needed no cropping - this was uncropped

Another thing I was trying was to get it looking as if the bike was coming straight at me. Sometimes a bit nerve racking - but the end shots were worth it.
