As it is approaching Christmas time, here in Leeds we have the annual visit of the German market. They have an old-fashioned style merry-go-round and it looks fantastic when it's all lit-up in the evening. I would like to photograph my daughter on one of the horses. I realise the light would be very limited and had wanted a bit of 'motion' blur. I have seen that my 430ex has a 'second curtain' facility. How does that work? I don't want to sync the flash any slower than 1/60 as my daughter would be blurred too - how can I freeze her but still have 'motion'? I have a 30D with 17-85 and a 50mm f1.8.
