I prefer the 3rd from a composition viewpoint, but the 2nd is technically the best. Better blur on foreground and background, both wheels have more blur, the rider is tucked in as if he was racing and the bike and rider is tack sharp.

thanks colin , much appreciated, I have been trying to get sharper images particularly with my panning shots which being a petrol-head are the majority of my shots, I'll get plenty of practice through the course of the season and hopefully my "hit rate" will improve, 3rd one is my fave too it's the cement dust he has kicked up adds a bit more interest to an otherwise pretty standard shot

thanks Tom and Dan , Dan I believe you are a petrol-head like me so hopefully I'll be posting plenty to keep you entertained, off to Brands Hatch next weekend , first time there with a decent camera and I'm really looking forward to it

Yep Mr C has it bang on, all good but #2 ticks all the boxes.

Thundersport at Brands next weekend ehh - if you see a short bald guy on Saturday trying to get to grips with a 300mm and resorting to his 70-200 say hi to me

Cory and I will be there somewhere, I will be trackside looking for a few different places to shoot from ready for the rest of the season.
