The sequence of frames from the BTCC at Croft

Just for interest here's a sequence of some of the 20 frames on that incident starting with the frame 1 which is full frame and out of focus as I was shooting the cars going around the corner when I notice the cloud of dust from someone going 'off piste'. Moving the camera round to the car the focus hadn't quite caught up.

Thanks for commenting. It was a good day - until the rain came along the interesting action was tempered by being wet!!

Agree - great set and very well followed / timed, I usually somehow only manage the first and possibly the last of any set lol

Was the 1DX running flat out (10fps +)? Goes to show how much happens between each frame (or two frames) and how that elusive "perfect shot" has an element of luck in the briefest of timelines.

The camera was on 10fps mainly because I can fill a 32gb card too quickly and then wading through and deleting 90% takes time.

At Croft I was trying to only shot when I could see something happening. I've already got too many shots of motorbikes and cars in various positions.

When you consider that the sequence spans a time of only 1.6 seconds it shows the importance of a fast frame rate.

Well done keeping your eye(or should i say your camera lens) on the action.
