    First Cricket

    Just a practice game but a good chance to capture a little action before the league gets under way next week.
    All taken using a 300mm f2.8 with Canon x2 mkIII converter attached.

    Nice ones Paul. A bit sad to watch this and to think of what happened to us down under!!!!!!

                    bang on as usual, your making me miss my 300 even more - actually regretted selling it the second Colin drove away from the house, had all but saved enough to replace it when . . . . this year happened, car vandalised / teeth problems / fence / shed - utility room / bathroom and then. . . . . . nothing left for lens [sigh] starting to save again but it may take some time

                      It's a nice game to photograph but you do need the reach It's about the only time i use an extender.

                        Didn't realise you'd sold your 300mm(Shock)but if you need the money it's always a lens thats going to sell and by the looks of things it sold fast.
                        Will sell mine one day, but only when i find a 400mm f2.8 mki, I keep looking and hope one will show up.

                          That 2x converter really slows down the auto focus and affects image quality I see !!! Nice set

                            Your right Paul I don't know why I bought one its ruining and degrading my images!!! lol
